SARTA’s online community input survey takes minutes to complete, will shape public transit service for years to come

November 3, 2022

Information and insight gained via a community input survey being conducted by the Stark Area Regional Transit Authority’s (SARTA) will shape the future of public transportation in Stark County system CEO Kirt Conrad said today as he urged the public to participate in the research project. The online survey, which consists of approximately 50 questions and takes less than five minutes to complete may be accessed at www.SARTAonline.com/survey. Everyone who completes the survey will automatically be entered into a prize drawing for a 10-ride ticket that many be used on SARTA’s fixed routes or Proline service.

“Whether you ride daily, occasionally, or have never set foot on one of our vehicles we want to hear from you,” Mr. Conrad said. “This is an easy and convenient way to tell us what we’re doing well, what we can do to improve, and to suggest new services that will enable us to better meet the community’s mobility needs. While the survey only takes a few moments to complete, the results will shape SARTA’s operations for years to come.”

Mr. Conrad noted that all the information obtained from the survey will be valuable, he and his staff are especially interested in responses provided by those who never or rarely use public transit. “To attract non-riders, we need to understand why they don’t use SARTA today so we can develop and implement services that will turn them into passengers tomorrow. That is why we’re really making a push to have non-riders share their opinions with us.”

EMC, one of the nation’s leading market research firms drafted the survey and will analyze the results which will be shared with the public later in 2023. Survey submissions will be accepted through November 18, 2022.
